Supporting the Avon Flood Strategy

The site is situated on the River Avon and we are committed to supporting Bristol City Council’s Flood Strategy (2021) which aims to protect homes, businesses and infrastructure in the area by creating a 15-25m buffer between the river and development sites.

To do this we are proposing to:

• Include a fully compliant flood defence up to 25m which will also act as a greenway and provide an active travel route connecting the area.
• The design of the greenway will create a precedent for future developments to ensure that the flood strategy that the city needs is delivered.
